Alexandria (Ali) Kathleen, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Cortes Counseling
"I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Bridgeport. As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), my academic foundation and clinical background allow me to offer compassionate, comprehensive care that honors both emotional and physical well-being.
Throughout my career, I have gained invaluable, high-acuity experience working on front-line crisis hotlines as well as in outpatient mental health settings. This extensive background in crisis intervention has equipped me with a grounded, calm, and reassuring presence during life’s most challenging and overwhelming moments.
My approach to therapy is collaborative, person-centered, and deeply tailored to your unique journey and lifestyle. Recognizing that true wellness encompasses both mind and body, I integrate evidence-based modalities—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)—with mindfulness practices and strengths-based interventions. Together, these tools provide practical, compassionate support as we navigate anxiety, depression, acute stress, and major life transitions. To accommodate full schedules and busy days, I also offer flexible audio sessions so care remains accessible and seamless.
Above all, I strive to create a warm, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard, respected, and understood. I show up with empathy, clarity, and authenticity to help build a strong, trusting therapeutic partnership. Whether you are entering therapy for the first time or returning to continue your growth, my goal is to walk alongside you, empowering you with the confidence and resilience to thrive."
A Thought on Your Journey:
"Resilience is not about never falling; it is about discovering the inner strength to rise, rebuild, and move forward with purpose. Whatever you are carrying today, you do not have to carry it alone."
